Lucy Bassett

Lucy Bassett has more than 15 years of experience developing and implementing programs to support children in humanitarian and development contexts around the world, including many years in Latin America. When she was in the Peace Corps in Guatemala she learned Spanish and K’iche’, an indigenous language, and saw firsthand the effects of migration on communities and families. She is currently an Associate Professor of Practice of Public Policy at the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.
